WHAT I DO

Real Estate Rooted in Place

Every home has a story—and so does every community.

For more than two decades, I've helped buyers and sellers throughout Northampton and the Pioneer Valley with a focus on what makes this region so special: historic homes, walkable neighborhoods, rail trails, and the landscapes that connect them. My work has always been about more than buying and selling property. It's about helping people find a place that fits the way they want to live.

HISTORIC HOMES

PRESERVING THE PAST & PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE

Historic homes are unlike any other property. They require an understanding of craftsmanship, architecture, restoration, and the stories that have shaped them over generations.

As both a Realtor and historic homeowner, I appreciate the unique considerations that come with buying and selling older homes. From Colonial and Victorian houses to antique farmhouses and carefully restored properties, I help clients navigate these purchases with confidence while celebrating the character that makes each home unique.

Whether you're looking for your first historic home or preparing to sell one you've cared for over many years, my goal is to help you make informed decisions while honoring the home's legacy.

Whether you're buying or selling, I can help with:

  • Historic and antique homes

  • Restored farmhouses

  • Village homes with architectural character

  • Properties with preservation significance

  • Homes that require thoughtful marketing to the right buyers

rail trail living

rail trail communities

Long before I became a Realtor, I spent years helping communities transform abandoned railroad corridors into vibrant public rail trails.

That work took me across New England and beyond, where I advocated for trail development, spoke at conferences, wrote books, and worked with communities looking to create healthier, more connected places to live.

Today, that experience gives my clients something few Realtors can offer: an understanding of how trails shape neighborhoods, increase quality of life, and create lasting value for homeowners.

If you're searching for a home close to walking and cycling trails, conservation land, or outdoor recreation, I can help you discover properties that fit your lifestyle—not just your wish list.

Ideal for buyers looking for:

  • Homes near the Northampton Rail Trail

  • Access to cycling and walking networks

  • Outdoor recreation

  • Connected, active communities

  • A lifestyle centered around nature and accessibility

A Different Kind of Real Estate Experience

Buying or selling a home is one of life's biggest decisions.

My role is to guide you through the process with honesty, thoughtful advice, and a deep understanding of both the market and the community. My clients value a collaborative approach, clear communication, and someone who genuinely cares about matching people with places they'll love for years to come. If that sounds like the experience you're looking for, I'd love to help.
